🍱 Kiku Bento: Nourishing Body and Spirit
Kiku’s Bento Program continues to serve Japanese homestyle meals that bring comfort and nourishment to seniors and homebound community members throughout San Diego. Thousands of meals are prepared and delivered each year with the support of dedicated volunteers. Each bento represents far more than a meal — it is an expression of care, connection, and cultural continuity.

Kikuのベンとプログラムでは、サンディエゴ地域の高齢者や外出が難しい方々に、日本の家庭料理をお届けしています。多くのボランティアの協力により、毎年数多くの食事が心を込めて作られ、届けられています。 一つひとつのベンとは、単なる食事ではなく、思いやりやつながり、そして文化を大切にする気持ちの表れです。
🎨 Club Kiku: A Monthly Haven for Seniors
In partnership with Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christ, Club Kiku is a cherished monthly gathering for seniors. On the third Wednesday of each month, elders from across the community come together to share laughter, stories, and friendship through activities such as crafts, workshops, exercise, and cultural discussions. Club Kiku reminds us that community is not a place, but the people we share it with.

Pioneer Ocean View United Church of Christとの協力のもと運営されているClub Kikuは、シニアの皆さんにとって大切な月例の集いの場となっています。毎月第3水曜日には、地域の高齢者が集い、クラフトやワークショップ、体操、文化をテーマにした交流を通して、笑顔と語らいの時間を共有しています。 Club Kikuは、コミュニティとは「場所」ではなく、「人とのつながり」であることを教えてくれます。
💞 Social Services: Providing Care and Guidance
Kiku’s Social Services Program supports older adults through our Senior Outreach and Support Program and Senior Home Maintenance Assistance Program. These free services connect seniors with essential resources and compassionate assistance — including help with medical appointments, benefits paperwork, housing options, and light home repairs through volunteer support. Our bilingual team ensures that no senior has to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Kikuのソーシャルサービスでは、シニア・アウトリーチ＆サポート・プログラムおよびシニア住宅メンテナンス支援プログラムを通して、高齢者の方々を支えています。
医療機関への付き添い、各種申請書類のサポート、住居に関する相談、軽度な住宅修繕のボランティア支援など、必要な支援を無償で提供しています。バイリンガルのスタッフが、一人ひとりに寄り添い、安心して暮らせるようお手伝いしています。

Kiku Cooking brings generations together through Japanese American home cooking. Designed for young adults, this program offers hands-on classes where participants learn recipes, techniques, and family stories from elders — keeping cultural heritage alive through the joy of shared meals.

🏮 Akimatsuri San Diego: Celebrating Community
Akimatsuri San Diego is a Japanese festival that brings together nonprofits, vendors, and community organizations from across San Diego. Through food, music, art, and shared experiences, the festival celebrates Japanese and Japanese American culture while strengthening community connections and honoring tradition.
